  Filmation
Filmation was a company that produced cartoons for television during the later half of the 20th Century.
As with other producers of Saturday morning cartoons, Filmation produced a number of series that were so poor quality as to be nearly unwatchable (such as the Groovie Goolies series); however, they did make a number of attempts to rise above the standard animated fare and produce reasonably well-written cartoons.
Other favorably remembered Filmation series included a 16-part animated serial of Flash Gordon and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids[?], an animated educational series which starred and was produced by Bill Cosby.

 The He-Man Page
To its credit, Filmation did a remarkable amount of work to create the first season of He-Man. They went to the trouble of rotoscoping live-action footage to create a library of stock character movements.
Filmation made a total of 130 episodes of "He-Man", in two series of 65 episodes each, and a further 77 or so episodes of the spinoff series "She-Ra".
Filmation's 230 employees, most of them animators, found themselves cast out into the street without jobs, and so it was that the doors to He-Man's future were sealed forever.

Filmation had nothing to do with the "Real" Ghostbusters, except that Filmation brought a lawsuit against the movies that the show was based on.
Then, Filmation capitalized on the success of the movies by releasing their own Ghostbusters cartoon in the 80s (that was based on the live action tv show).
Both the Filmation series and the projected film were called "Ghostbusters," a situation that developed when the title failed to show up on a title search.

Filmation is the trademark name of the isometric graphics engine employed in a series of games developed by Ultimate Play The Game during the 1980s, primarily on the 8-bit ZX Spectrum platform (although also on the BBC Micro, Amstrad CPC, and MSX platforms).
Player characters could move in four diagonal (to the player's perspective) directions, were able to jump over or onto obstacles, and even push objects around the game environment.
Although Filmation II increased the graphical complexity of the titles that used it, player characters could no longer jump and were confined to essentially simpler two dimensional environments.
