RPGFan Reviews - Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Tactics, released in February of 1998, was one of Squaresoft's early efforts on the Playstation console.
One very useful feature that Square placed in Final Fantasy Tactics is the addition of the "Brave Story" (named after the "Zodiac Brave Story", one of the legends integral to the plot).
Where Tactics throws innovation into the mix is through the use of the Job System (as seen in Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy V).

The earliest Final Fantasy you remember is VII and you like it that way.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, the first game produced as a result of the reunion, is the type of RPG that will appeal to you no matter which category you fall under.
And by signature Final Fantasy style, I mean lots of people with small bodies and extra large heads covered spiky hair running around with gargantuan swords strapped to there back.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - GameCritics.com
The combat is simple and the whole 'tactics' something of a misnomer, but the menu system definitely isn't as intuitive as it should be.
While the Final Fantasy brand had become increasingly popular (thanks in no small part to the runaway success of Final Fantasy VII), not even that could lure the average gamer into picking up a strategy role-playing game (RPG).
Finally, since this is a portable game with fights that can take awhile to win, saving is important.

The original Final Fantasy Tactics was one of the finest games for the PlayStation and one of my personal favorites of all time.
Their lives revolve around snowball fights, going to school, avoiding bullies, etc. One day, they read a book called Final Fantasy, which is named after one of the character's favorite games.
One of the most annoying occurrences in FFT was miscalculating casting time or a dragoon jump relative to your opponent's movement.

Final Fantasy Tactics had a 'high' standard to meet sales-wise.
Although in FFT, along with experience, you also gain Job points that are used for new skills, magic, or abilities, the latter of which have to be set.
A lot of it is borrowed straight from the normal Final Fantasy series, such as aforementioned Throw ability, magic names (Regen, Fire 2, Meteor), and the Gil currency among other things.

From the impressive 3D terrain, to the expertly animated characters, to the gorgeous soundtrack, to the sheer volume of available gameplay options, Final Fantasy Tactics is a masterpiece.
Though other Final Fantasy games offer differing story lines and sometimes different battle systems this game stands on it's own as a brillant piece of gaming history.
The lack of a masterful plot is a flaw, especially in a Final Fantasy title, which have by far the best plots out of any game.

IGN: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Review
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, produced entirely by Square but published by Nintendo, is a wonderful RPG-based strategy game with an insane amount of depth, replay value and challenge, and a ton of fun if you're willing to put in the investment of thought and time.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is not a true Final Fantasy game in the RPG series sense, nor is it a sequel or remake of Final Fantasy Tactics released on the PlayStation system several years ago.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance does a wonderful job weaning players into the combat engine through two cleverly disguised tutorial missions...once in the real world during a snowball fight, and again in the Final Fantasy world after Marche lets a racial remark slip.

Final Fantasy Tactics 2 Petition Petition
Square did a very good job in the development of FF Tactics in developing a very good storyline and the game had a wonderful musical score that can be easily considered as epic and had some interesting characters and extras to boast as well.
Another good thing about Tactics is that there are a lot of characters in the game and party management is key throughout as some characters will leave and join your party at various points in the game and there is usually a limit of units to place per battle.
The Final Fantasy Tactics 2 Petition Petition to Squaresoft Ltd. was created by FF fans around the world and written by Winston Sim.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a long story revolving around the people of Ivalice, and most importantly, Ramza.

But Final Fantasy Tactics Advance presents its own story, its own set of characters and its own battle system, which in my opinion is just as good as that of the first Tactics.
I'm a huge fan of the original Final Fantasy Tactics (FFT) for the PS1, and playing FFT Advance on the GBA was a bit of a disappointment.
Perhaps the game would have been better if it lost the Final Fantasy theme and title; I was looking forward to something that was similar to the first FFT, which was to me, perfect (although a two-player mode would have been amazing).

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Review - GamersHell.com
In Final Fantasy Tactics Advance you take the primary role of Marche, who first needs to figure out where he is, what’s going on, and most importantly – figure out how the heck he’s going to get back home.
Marche quickly realizes that he’s actually IN the game Final Fantasy, and it seems as if he’ll need to destroy four crystals in order to “turn off” the game world.
Tactics Advance's audio isn’t too bad either, but a few of the background tunes tend to be repeated a whole lot, so it’d be wise not to pay it any notice or else it’ll probably annoy you in the end.
