  Final Fantasy X OST
The ordinary Playstation was never tapped to its true sound potential with the Final Fantasy series, even though it deserved to be, and now that we are even beyond that, we cannot seem to have sound quality that is even up the the true standards of yesteryear.
The Final Fantasy X soundtrack is not quite all I was hoping for, but considering what we could have gotten without the tried-and-true formula of solo Uematsu, I am quite pleased with the result.
Since we're finally getting into what sounds like real FF music, the rest of the disc is very enjoyable, even though much of it, like this track, is only enjoyable on that superficial level that I mentioned earlier.

Final Fantasy VII had a soundtrack containing 85 songs, and was groundbreaking because the sound quality on the game was much higher on the actual game than previous Final Fantasy's which were on Super Nintendo and Nintendo.
The Final Fantasy VII soundtrack was primarily remembered for its final boss music and laid the foundation for later versions of the music.
Final Fantasy VIII's soundtrack was possibly the best of the PS Final Fantasy's, and is remembered for being the first Final Fantasy game to ever contain a track with vocals in it.

Many of the tracks on this soundtrack can't really live up to their Final Fantasy X counterparts, but this is an exception.
Finally, I can somewhat understand why Matsueda and Eguchi may have seeked to replace Nobuo Uematsu's "Djosé Temple" with something completely different, but it seems a terrible and arrogant insult towards Hamauzu's marvellous "Thunder Plateau" in the Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack for them to pulverise his original with something this bad.
I would imagine this is one of the final boss themes (I haven't quite gotten that far in the game yet to see), and while hardly as epic as its predecessors in the Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack, I feel its composition is definitely top notch.

Final Fantasy music has always done its best to bring out emotion in any scene, whether it be sad, angry, humorous, or exciting.

This soundtrack is definitely "Suspended on Silver Wings" as without those lyrics, this soundtrack would have surely fallen.

Final Fantasy X is a diverse and richly textured score, for me the most memorable of the Sony generation Final Fantasy's, whose scattered disappointments are held in check by the virtues of the music surrounding.
The Final Fantasy X soundtrack is not quite all I was hoping for, but considering what we possibly could have gotten without the tried-and-true formula of solo Uematsu, I am quite pleased with the result.
The soundtrack is held together by two exceptional themes; 'Yuna's Theme' (heard in 'Isn't it Beautiful ?') and the main theme of Final Fantasy X (first heard in 'To Zanarkand' in blissful piano form).

Final Fantasy X is the first in the series to feature a wide range of realistic facial expressions, as well as other technological developments in graphical effects achieved, such as variance in lighting and shadow from one section of a character's clothing to the next.

For Final Fantasy X, Squaresoft called upon three of its most well-tested composers, (as Ito, Mitsuda, and Hirota had already left the company), Junya Nakano, Masashi Hamauzu, and of course, Nobuo Uematsu.
Given Final Fantasy X's setting, however, Uematsu is unable to write the sort of enjoyable electronic music that FFVIII had quite a bit of, nor does the plot allow the sort of heroic, orchestral-styled character themes that made his music so enjoyable in the SFC era.
For starters, this soundtrack is not solely composed by Uematsu.

Final Fantasy X-2 Original Soundtrack - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Final Fantasy X-2 Original Soundtrack is the video game music soundtrack album from the console role-playing game Final Fantasy X-2, developed and produced by Square Enix for the PlayStation 2 video game console.
Final Fantasy X-2 marks the first soundtrack where former Square Enix composer Nobuo Uematsu did not contribute a single piece despite having composed for Final Fantasy X, of which X-2 is a sequel.
Unlike the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Original Soundtrack which borrowed many pieces from the Final Fantasy VII Original Soundtrack, none of the pieces from the Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack were re-used in X-2.
