Magic is key to your development as a SeeD, and so it is important to be familiar with it and to practice often.
Magic may also be stocked from the pink draw point located around the world, or extracted from items by using appropriate GF abilities.
Indirect magic may also be effective against enemies, disabling them or otherwise preventing them from acting as they normally would.

Final Fantasy magic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: )
Magic is one of the two principal forms of attack in Square Enix's (formerly Square Co., Ltd.) Final Fantasy series of computer role-playing games.
Summon Magic took on a more central role in the plot of Final Fantasy IV, where one of the main characters, Rydia, was the last surviving child of Mist, an isolated mountain village of Summoners.
Final Fantasy IX was similar to Final Fantasy IV in that only two party members (Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII and Eiko Carol) — the sole survivors of a village of Summoners — were capable of using Summon Magic.

Final Fantasy VIII - Final Fantasy Spirit-Your Final Fantasy destination
Final Fantasy VIII comprises three main modes of play: the world map screen, where the player may navigate freely across the scaled-down game world; the environment field map screen such as a town; and the battle map screen, where a fight between the player and enemy parties takes place.
While previous Final Fantasy titles used a pool of magic points (MP) consumed by each spell to limit magic use, in Final Fantasy VIII spells are "drawn" from enemies and special Draw Points distributed throughout the game's environments.
The final primary playable character is Rinoa Heartilly, daughter to a powerful Galbadian general and member of the Forest Owls, though not their leader, as is often misinterpreted, a resistance movement fighting against Galbadian rule.

Final Fantasy: References in Final Fantasy in General
The magic found in the Wicca set of beliefs is often referred to as Witchcraft.
Through out the Final Fantasy games, magic is found in many different ways, from casting spells to heal your allies, to casting spells to burn your foes, to even enchanting your allies with extra speed, strength, or flight, to even summoning monsters that were once thought to exist only in ancient times.
Similarity, some Wicca magic is thought to have some healing properties, can be used for vengeance on those who have performed ill-mannered deeds, and able to communicate with the dead.

Mud Magic: Final Fantasy MUX - Welcome to the Third Convergence.
Final Fantasy MUX was born sometime in mid-late September of 1998.
The original concept had been to provide a role-playing environment which was "layered" - having a separate IC grid for a different Final Fantasy game.
The staff and playerbase pulled together, however, and early in February of 2005, the MUX was reopened, having been thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt from scratch, with new, improved descriptions, a redesigned grid, and far fewer junk objects clogging the database.
