Final Fight is one of those games many Nintendo loyalists may be torn on.
Final Fight is a solid title, but it has its sacrifices as well.
If you’re aching for a brawler on VC though, Final Fight is still your best bet, so either drop the cash and enjoy, or hold those points and wait for the inevitable sequels to follow.

 Hardcore Gaming 101: Final Fight
Final Fight was initially going to be a sequel to the original Street Fighter (yes, the really awful one), dubbed "Street Fighter '89", but since the one-on-one gameplay had been abandoned, Capcom decided to give it a whole new name and start a whole new series.
While the SNES Final Fight was one of the first games for the system and perhaps Capcom couldn't fit all it wanted to with limited technology and time, but it's still incredibly slipshod compared to the ports that came after it.
Final Fight 2 not only reinstates the two player game but also gives you three characters to choose from - Haggar, the hero from the original; Maki, the sexy Mai Shiranui ripoff; and Carlos, who carries around a sword but never actually uses it except during special attacks.

Review - Final Fight: Streetwise // Xbox /// Eurogamer
Fighting is basic with a series of punches and throws that can be strung together, while baseball bats, guns and knives can be picked up for that extra little sting to the ribs.

Final Fight Streetwise is a remake no-one asked for, to be filed next to Sega's Altered Beast or Midway's NARC as completely pointless retreads.

Final Fight: Streetwise Sony Play Station 2 Video Game Review by AceGamez
Final Fight is a free roaming game, so you can pretty much pick a fight with anyone who is either willing or simply unable to get away in time.
There's plenty to do in Final Fight: Streetwise, that can't be denied, and the plotline is intriguing in a way that will probably have you still playing it until the early hours, but it still lacks that little extra something that would make it a classic and warrant a greater score than it's receiving.
Final Fight was a classic and Streetwise is a long way from some of the crummy remakes that seem to be springing out lately, so if you're the type to go into everything fists flying, then Travers is the perfect character for you.

First Impressions - Final Fight: Streetwise // None /// Eurogamer
Final Fight: Streetwise certainly comes along at an odd time, and it's pretty odd all round really.
The old Final Fights involved marching from left to right, moving into and out of the screen a bit and fighting streams of enemies in fairly simplistic fashion using weapon pick-ups and basic punch and kick combos.
To be fair, Final Fight: Streetwise is in no way bad - it looks fairly nice, plays nicely and is clearly capable of adapting the classic style to three dimensions with a bit of common sense.

Final Fight: Streetwise may have bonuses such as the original title, but when gamers can purchase that as part of a Capcom compendium it does mean that there's very little reason for players to part with their money for this.

Final Fight Street Wise returns players to Metro City, a fictional metropolis filled with thugs, gangsters, violent punks and dangerous knife wielding psychos.
There's also the original Final Fight game, which you can unlock by completing the first chapter in the game, but if you've played the enhanced version in the recently released Capcom collection then you'll be a bit disappointed.
In the end Final Fight Street Wise is a slightly below average game with some okay fighting action, a nice arcade mode if you're playing co-op and some adult situations that sometimes cross the line into the land of overkill.
