Toronto Transit Commission - The Fall Edition -
Both Finch and Sheppard stations had long corridors connecting the subway platforms to the bus terminals and, in the case of Sheppard, secondary exits to the street ran off both sides of these corridors.
While Finch station's corridor was opened as a fare-paid zone without much difficulty, Sheppard station's entrances would have to have fare barriers installed should the paid fare area be expanded to cover the bus terminal.
If the TTC had gone this route, trains to Keele at St. George and Woodbine at Bay would be on the same level, and passengers wouldn’t have to wait between levels in order to be sure to catch the first train to their destination.

The assets and liabilities of the TTC and four independent bus lines operating in the suburbs were acquired by the Commission.
The TTC continues to be the sole provider of public transit within the City of Toronto, as well as operating contracted services into the neighbouring York Region.
Because the TTC has maintained a large portion of its pre-World War II streetcar system, the streetcar routes operate in prewar style, with almost all of the route mileage in traffic rather than on reserved track.

But as our discussion progressed over the two hours we spent at his home in the Keele and Finch area of North York (an $8 cab ride from Downsview station; the subject of what buses to take never came up as he was offering directions), a more disturbing scenario came to seem more likely.
The TTC is divided into two quite different segments: the nine commissioners selected from city council, and the staff, headed by the general manager, Rick Ducharme.
So, while the TTC is interested in developing more, and they know the value of it, the incentive has not necessarily been there, because the money largely goes to the city.

Because of the bus crisis, the TTC spent $6 million to refit some of the reliable ones in 1994 so that these old buses could stay as long as possible.

Some of the yesterday's features on TTC buses were lost after their retirement: The very last 8086's Eglinton territory destination curtain and 8111's water bumper are now history and will never be seen again in Toronto now.

Since the higher ups at the TTC seem to not have a sense of humour, I’ve been told to remove the Anagram TTC map: The TTC has not granted, and expressly denies, permission to you or the Website to reproduce or otherwise use TTC intellectual property in whole or in part.
TTC lawyers state that the playful map is in violation of TTC trademarks and may confuse riders enroute to Bathurst Station when all they find is “Butt Rash”.
