Fiona Thompson began studying cello in her native England at the age of seven.
Thompson’s professional career blossomed after she graduated from USC, as her rich sound and distinctive musicality caught the attention of orchestras and chamber groups.
Thompson is the principal cellist of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra as well as Artist-in-Residence at Messiah College in PA. She is a member of the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra and has recently toured Japan with the Kennedy Center Opera.
