"Resident Evil 4"/ a game review from Christian Spotlight
In the larger portion of the game that i have experienced, i have seen countless heads exploding in balls of gore, my own character's head being sliced off with a chainsaw, a girl held onto a door by a pitchfork through the face, and enough blood to fill Lake Michigan.
This game does not attempt to shield the violence in any way shape or form and should not be played by those who are easily flustered.
The game itself is absolutely amazing, and the amount of fun and playing time (around 20 hours) you will recieve from this game in just the first time through is enough reason to recommend this game to anyone.

Gamasutra - Features - "Question of the Week Responses: Underrated Games"
Other game elements worth mentioning include the soundtrack by Jesper Kyd (not only the actual musical score but also its implementation and the way it is linked to the gameplay), the level design (encouraging exploration a lot which perfectly ties into the squad-gameplay) and the game's mission-structure (including the inter-dependency between missions and objectives).
The game is not without its flaws, but considering its almost total lack of commercial success and the enormous amount of enjoyment I received playing the game, I would say that underrated is an understatement for this game.
Add on the citadel multiplayer game that allowed players to customize their home base before being invaded by their enemies, and you have a game that was light years ahead of its time.

Standardized Modular Game Design - GameDev.Net Discussion Forums
A tabletop game is just a template from which a real game is cut by the players, whilst a computer game is the real game: the players don't (usually) get to customize the computer game to their own liking.
In the computer game world, there is (usually) a small group of content-creators who don't (usually) even allow their players to create modifications they could send in.
As a game designer - as opposed to a writer - I find it much more useful to group games by their mechanics, as the setting is almost irrelevant in terms of how the game actually plays.

VPC - From Gun Games to Gun Stores - Introduction
The gun industry's addition of video games to its youth marketing strategy is hardly surprising given the explosive growth in video game sales and the attractive demographic profile of video game players—39 percent are under the age of 18 and 43 percent are women.
The industry sees these games as a means to introduce children to guns and the shooting sports, as well as an opportunity to engender brand loyalty.

 demo recording - FireArms ²
If turned on, the game would always record a demo whenever the player logs on to the server and place the demofile in a folder with for example the name "demo_01" and so on.
I know this is possible in racing games, to record a demo with many different views and angles from each driver.
So forced recording on a game on the source engine is a no-no. Most people's machines can barely handle the engine as it is, and if you forced recording on their computer, it would make it nearly impossible to play.

Games submitted for publication in this way should, above all else, be fun, ideally strategic or combining strategic with random elements; entirely random games are almost always unsatisfying.
For example, if a roleplaying supplement is designed for story-heavy games, it's appropriate to mention that the book won't be of much use for those who like hard game information, and to say how well (or poorly) it provides story-building possibilities for its target audience.
Articles for such games generally require a bit of additional checking around to make sure we can publish them; before you write such an article, you may want to contact the company that publishes the licensed game to see what their policy is, to avoid writing a piece no one can use.
