Kashmir is a valley whose beauty has been proclaimed by many and stretches out at about 7,200 square kilometers (2,800 square miles) at an elevation of 1,675 meters (5,500 feet).

We Brits see the war in Iraq as oppressive, as an act of empire, and we are ashamed of being part of it.
It is always at the margins that the strain shows first, but this study shows that many birds we think of as common are in trouble.
First, we let go of our empire (including the USA) centuries and decades ago whilst America is still trying to gain hers.
