  First Minister for Wales Information
The First Minister (Welsh: Prif Weinidog) is the leader of the Welsh Assembly Government, Wales's devolved administration.
When initially set up under the Government of Wales Act 1998, the title was known as First Secretary (in Welsh Prif Ysgrifennydd), as Wales was given a less powerful assembly and executive than Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The Government of Wales Bill, which is currently going through the Parliament of the United Kingdom, allows for the post to be officially the First Minister and would also make the First Minister the Keeper of the Welsh Seal.

He was speaking at the assembly at the end of a week when it appeared he would not return as first minister, until an opposition coalition fell through.
Returning for his third term as first minister, Mr Morgan had told AMs in Cardiff Bay he was "thrilled and hugely honoured" but his government would listen to the message that had come from the people of Wales.
Speaking to BBC Wales after the session, Mr Morgan added that the idea of a rainbow alliance between Plaid, the Tories and the Lib Dems had collapsed as people did not want Conservatives in charge of spending.

ePolitix.com - Alun Michael - Former first minister of Wales
In the run up to the first elections there was a consensus that having competed for places the parties would work together.
It may well be that some members of the other parties that actually want to see responsible government and positive engagement to do the best for the people will just say "no this is a game we're not going to play" so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
More weight is given to the national mood and the oppositionalism to whatever party is in power, that occurs mid-term and irrespective of what is going on in the institution you are actually electing representatives to.
