		The Faces released First Step in the spring of 1970.
		The album was a departure both from the R&B/pop direction of the Small Faces and the heavy blues of the Jeff Beck Group; instead, the group became a boisterous, boozy, and sloppy Stones-inspired rock & roll band.

		As always, the music is damned good, and the album’s sound is unlike any other, with influences from the happy 1960s pop to the melancholy sounds of the Smiths.
		Those who have heard them before will most likely be struck by how different the album is from their earlier work, though it seems to be a perfectly fine evolutionary step in the right direction.
		The video to the first single, "Funny Little Frog," shows Stuart Murdoch, the lead singer, doing a fast-paced dance (with a pretty girl, of course), while songs such as "White Collar Boy," with its catchy chorus and hard drums and guitar, will leave new fans screaming for more, and old fans scratching their heads.

		The album fared better in the U.K. than it did in the U.S., yet the group built a devoted following on both continents with their reckless live shows.
		That summer, Stewart released his fourth solo album, "Never A Dull Moment", which nearly replicated the success of "Every Picture Tells a Story", peaking at number two in the U.S. and number one in the U.K. In the spring of 1973, the Faces released their final album, "Ooh La La".
		Stewart expressed his disdain for the record in the press, yet it hit number one in the U.K. and number 21 in the U.S. After releasing the "Pool Hall Richard" single in the beginning of 1974, the band went on tour; it would prove to be their last.

		Long Player, from 1971, was the second album by the British rock group the Faces.
		The highlights are the live cover of Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed", the rave-up "Had Me A Real Good Time" and the opening "Bad 'N' Ruin".
		A single version of "Maybe I'm Amazed" appeared just ahead of the album, featuring a studio version of the song in lieu of the live version presented on the album proper.
