The First And Third Trinity Boat Club May Ball held by Trinity College is the most famous of the May Balls, always held on the first Monday of May Week, and its tickets are the most sought after.

The clubs all enjoyed a great deal of success throughout the 19th century and, though the Second Trinity Boat Club was dissolved due to insufficient membership, the standard of rowing remained excellent.
The Third Trinity BC had suffered from an ever diminishing number of appropriate undergraduates, and as such was struggling to maintain its position on the river.

The Michell Cup is awarded annually by the CUCBC to the Boat Club giving the best performance on the river during the course of the academic year.

The only Wolverine boat picking up a first-place finish was the 3V8 boat, but the Maize and Blue showed well in the rest of their races, fairing well enough to hopefully earn spots in the IRA National Championships in two weeks.
A number of U-M boats won their heats, but were unable to repeat their performances in the finals as Trinity College put everything into their last day of races, and it showed as they captured the Team-Point Championship.
First off in the morning were the Frosh A and B 8s, who placed 7th and 5th, respectively.

UCC faced tough opposition from a strong Cork Boat Club composite, and the race itself did not disappoint expectations, with both crews remaining within a canvas of each other the entire length of the course.
As a result of the club’s success from the previous season and the overall improvement in the club, UCCRC was short listed for 'Club of the Year’ at this year’s UCC Clubs and Societies ball.

There is a spin off of the FAT boat club consisting of bufties working in London.
While in Cambridge I was a member of Trinity College and using absoultely no orignial thought, I did a bit of rowing with First and Third Trinity Boat Club as mentioed above.
