Basic Trends in Sentence Length and Time Served in Oklahoma Corrections. 1900-1992
Time served now was calculated taking whichever date, the receipt date or the sentence start date, was closest to the release date and subtracting the release date from that.
Time served, on the other hand, has, in the aggregate, declined since statehood and despite the sentence length increases in the last two decades.
Table 4 also shows that time served on sentences was longer in the statehood period than the traditional period for the shorter ranges of sentences but shorter in the longer ranges.

Trends in Community Supervision over Five Years - Time Served
Time served refers to the actual, calculated amount of time that elapsed from when the offender began a period of supervision to when that period of supervision is permanently terminated.
It is not a historical measurement of the amount of time served by an offender nor does it constitute the amount of time served for a particular offense.
While early and court terminations are consistently more likely to fall between 12 and 18 months, time served for normal terminations has fluctuated over time, from greater numbers in the 9-12 month or 18-24 month ranges to the greatest number in the 12-18 months range.

Time Served by Criminals Sentenced to Florida's Prisons - Methodology
The time spent in local jail is included in the actual length of time served because it is, by law, applied to the service of the offender's court imposed prison sentence.
Life Table - The prison time served for inmates still in prison with release dates beyond their life expectancy was calculated based on the time from sentence imposition to their expected age at death.
Calculation of Actual Time Served - To measure the actual length of time offenders sentenced to prison are incarcerated, the prison release date for all admissions was identified.

Time Served by Criminals Sentenced to Florida's Prisons: The Impact of Punishment Policies from 1979 to 2004
The percent of prison sentence served is more than 87% for offenders sentenced in FY 2003-2004, a 150% increase from the 34.9% of average sentence served 15 years ago.
Prior to the minimum 85% of sentence served policy, which began in 1995, a prison sentence had minimal relationship to the actual time criminals spent in prison.

 TIME SERVED
This measure of time served is biased downward because members of the entering cohort (say 1990) with longer sentences will not show up in our sample of inmates exiting in 1996.The problem is even worse if we consider sentences.
TIME SERVED - Most common measure = time served by exiting cohorts, e.g., mean months served by inmates released during 1996.

Bureau of Justice Statistics Crime and Justice in the U.S. and England and Wales: Time served
Time served is greater in the United States than in England, mostly because courts impose longer sentences in the United States than in England.
National data on "time served" were specially calculated in England (for offenders released from prisons or young offender institutions) for years in which crime victim surveys were conducted.
Such inmates were eligible for parole after serving one-third of their sentence (or a minimum of 6 months) and had to be released from confinement once they had served two-thirds.

More young black men have done prison time than served in the military or earned a college degree
Being jailed in federal or state prisons has become so common for African Americans today that more young black men in the United States have done time than have served in the military or earned a college degree, according to a new study.
Among blacks, 30.2 percent of those who didn't attend college had gone to prison by 1999 and 58.9 percent of black high school dropouts born from 1965 through 1969 had served time in state or federal prison by their early 30s.
The incarceration rate for black men born in 1945 to 1949 was 10.6 percent by the time they were in their early 30s, but increased to 20.5 percent for those born in the 1965-1969 period.

Prison Sentences and Time Served for Violence
The report also estimates the hypothetical impact on time served of changing the percentage of sentence served and discusses how the States differ in percentage of sentence served.
Violent offenders released from State prisons in 1992 served 48% of the sentence they had received--an average of 43 months in confinement, both jail and prison, on an average sentence of 89 months.
The finding that just under half the sentence will be served in confinement was confirmed through analysis of self-reports of expected discharge dates from the 1991 BJS National Survey of State Prison Inmates.

Genius of Science, Genius of Peace by Colman McCarthy
IF ALBERT Einstein is the "Person of the 20th Century," as the editors of Time magazine believe, it might take all of the 21st century to grasp that the sum of his thinking went well beyond the intellectual parts of relativity, photons, subatomic particles and quarks.
Odd, then, even bizarre, that despite the ardency of Einstein's political and spiritual commitment to pacifism, the editors of Time in their December cover story on the person of the century devote 1,425 lines to his scientific ideas but only three to his views on nonviolence.
It is impossible in geological time to change the nature of a river.

My guy is in the same situation as far aas crdit for times served...through his research he was able to find that unless the time is ordered co-terminate as well as concurrent you will not get credit for the time served from the first charge.
Your not appealing the case, or the plea itself, just the calculation of time served, which as far as I know is an appealable aspect.
Apparently there is a law that states he must be granted credit for time served if he never posted a bond in this case (which he didn't).

You Got Served - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You Got Served is a film written and directed by Chris Stokes, manager of its stars, recording artist Marques Houston and the members of boy band B2K.
The expression "you got served" has been used to describe someone or something that has either lost badly, or been humiliated (or possibly both).
"To serve," or obviously "to give someone something," fits the mold of any sort of competition, oneupmanship, etc. If someone is "given something," then that implies, in an adversarial setting, that that thing has been used against,\ or to defeat the recipient.
