Although the Park is well used by sections of the community it lacks facilities and is not fulfilling its potential as a major green space serving both the local community and wider population.
There is great scope for the Park to contribute to and facilitate the regeneration of the area and to act as a focus for environmental, health and educational initiatives.
Firth Park is much valued by the local community but lack of investment in more recent years has seen the decline in facilities and subsequent use of the park.

I was brought up on the shiregreen near firth park and have moved back here after living in Finland, spain, bulgaria, feurty etc. Whilst in sheffield i have lived at Beauchief and to be truthful its the people that live around you that counts for me.
i live in firth park unfortunatly, it used to be a lovely place but not anymore.
