  Workable fixative [Archive] - WetCanvas!
If you are fixing a charcoal drawing that you are going to paint on, use just enough to hold the drawing otherwise it acts different where you sprayed vs didn't spray.
Workable fixative is just that, "worklable" (Holding what you have of your drawing, so that you can come back and refine if you need to before you spray a "final fixtative" on it) - so when you start to paint on it, it will not always hold the drawing.
Crystal Kote is not worksble fixative at all.

Is there a fixative that will make dye permanent? What is Retayne?
The use of these dye fixatives is now common in the textile industry, which is one reason why properly dyed clothing is less likely to run in the wash now than it was years ago.
Cationic dye fixatives actually belong to the class of dyes known as basic dyes, because of their positive charge.
Cationic dye fixatives are applied in the washing machine or a bucket of very hot water, and cannot be used for items colored with dyes that are not attached at all, because the items must be capable of at least a single immersion without running very badly.

Literature is essentially a fixative quality of a larger life quality: that is in terms of the “positive ontology” of Deleuze and Guattari (A Thousand Plateaus) a resonance of flux functioning within a strata as an intentionally intentional cause of the stratification of flux out of which its quality and nature is derived.
It is essentially in these terms a fixative resonance of a strata and of itself
This makes it absolutely a fixative of a specific strata it has caused; limiting its scope of intentional understanding and effect entirely to its own resonantly produced strata.
