	Rolf Kauka
		Fix and Foxi is the most successful German comic and the most well-known and also most published work of comic artist Rolf Kauka.
		The two main characters of the comic are the twin fox brothers, Fix and Foxi, who live in Fuxholzen (Foxburg in the TV series.) They are open, active and social and, therefore, serve as rolemodels for their young audience.
		Beginning in March 2000 the Fix and Foxi TV series has been broadcast in Germany (ARD and KiKa channels.) The characters are also still active in reprints, as audio and video cassettes, merchandising figures and as a TV series in 30 countries.

		Rolf Kauka (born 9 April 1917 in Markranstädt near Leipzig; died 13 September 2000 in Thomasville, Georgia) was a comic artist, most famous for the series Fix and Foxi.
		In 1975 he founded the Kauka Comic Academy in Munich, where he concentrated on the training and continuing education of young writers and illustrators.
		At the end of the 1970s the publishing consortium was dissolved and Bauer/VPM began publishing Fix and Foxi.

		Animal figures engaged in adventures couldn't amuse me. But the publisher of Fix und Foxi - and later on some other magazines as well - started publishing the French and Belgian comics Robbedoes, Asterix, Lucky Luke, and Johan en Pirrewiet.
