  Saint David Summary
Saint David died in his monastery at Mynyw, some say at the age of 142 or 147 (he is credited with predicting the day), and an observer watched angels carry Saint David's soul up to heaven.
The saint was conceived through violence and his poor mother, Non (possibly just 'a nun') the daughter of Lord Cynyr of Caer Goch (in Pembrokeshire), gave birth to him on a cliff top in the middle of a violent storm.
Saint David of Muscovy or Gleb, brother of saint Roman of Muscovy or Boris, and son of saint Vladimir

David was proclaimed a Saint by the Welsh and British after his death and was considered such by the entire pre-Schism Church.

darachweb: St David - Patron Saint of Wales
Saint David (or Dewi Sant, as he is known in the Welsh language) was a Celtic monk, abbot and bishop, who lived in the sixth century.
David was born near Capel Non (Non's chapel) on the South-West Wales coast near the present city of Saint David.
David himself spoke an old form of Welsh fourteen centuries ago, and the Saint has become synonymous with keeping the language alive, and all that is good in the Welsh way of life.

However, the arms of the bishopric of St David's are a gold cross on fl, like the flag mentioned, but with four outline fl cinquefoils in the arms of the cross.
David was canonised in 1120; his saint's day is 1 March, the Welsh national holiday.
There is therefore a space for a flag to commemorate St David, patron of the land, but does not reflect true Welshness as does the Ddraig Goch, and which would also be useful for Anglicans in that it consists of a Welsh version of the Cross of St George.

The committee’s recommendation for an official flag was: “A Flag of white ground, a Magnolia tree in the centre, a blue field in the upper left hand corner with a white star in the centre, the Flag to be finished with a red border and a red fringe at the extremity of the Flag.”
Whether it was the flag by law or custom, the Mississippi state flag with its prominent display of the Beauregard battle flag eventually became a symbol that stirred the deep passions and the power of memory.
As the battle flag was becoming increasingly associated with the advocates of white supremacy, historical organizations and southern heritage groups were unable to separate or distinguish the historical character of the battle flag or protect or insulate it from the political agenda of its modern bearers.

It has also been my distinct impression that fixed proportions for flags are a relatively recent (18th-19th century) development, so citing proportions of 3:2 (or any other ratio) for the flag of an organization that was abolished in the 14th century seems a little risky.
