 Should MN give confederate flag back to Virginia?
The confederate battle flag discussion in another topic reminded me of a controversy that was topical a few years ago, but as far as I know it is still brewing.
For quite a number years, Virginia has sought to recover a Confederate Battle flag that was captured by a member of the 1st Minnesota Regiment in the Battle of Gettysburg.
I think that officially since the end of the war, all such battle flags were considered the property of the DOD or whatever it was called then.
