The Moody Forest Natural Area (MFNA) is a 4,300 acre preserve on the Altamaha River in southeast GA jointly owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy and the GA Department of Natural Resources and staffed by TNC.

Determining what is natural as a baseline to manage for can be problematic as one presentation pointed out, but some parks are figuring this out and are devising useful vital signs monitoring approaches.
Many other themes related to natural and cultural resources, NPS history, and interpretation emerged, too, and showed new twists in the ways in which familiar disciplines are being applied in solving both common and new problems.
The natural beauty of the region is also essential to residents' quality of life: the mountains, cliffs, canyons, lakes and rivers, the clean air, the rural character, and the close but uncrowded natural environment.

Both conservation reserves within the shire had a plan of management in place, one of which was adopted during the current period.
Although numerous small 'natural' wetland areas on private properties existed in the shire prior to any impact from land degradation such as waterlogging and salinity, no wetlands in the shire (significant or otherwise) have been documented (Cootamundra Shire 2000).
Both conservation reserves within the shire had a formal plan of management in place at the end of the reporting period, one of which was adopted during the current period (see Table 3).

TNC's Hart Prairie Preserve (located 30 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona) is looking for a seasonal on-site volunteer host for six months, from May 1 - Oct 31.
The San Miguel, one of the few remaining naturally functioning rivers of the West, supports some of the best riverside - or riparian - habitat in the Upper Colorado Basin.
This list was last updated February 2006 by Nature Conservancy volunteer Heidi Burns, who was overseen by Scott Boven, the Volunteer Program Manager for TNC-Virginia.
