This myth, however, is incorrect on all four points: The nunchaku was not a Japanese weapon, it was never used as a rice flail, it was not developed by villagers and it was never used against samurai.

Saying that the bonus applies for chain weapons may just mean that it applies for chain weapons in the rules, never actuly states that chain weapons will be included and if they are included how they will be resolved.
Since a flail is both a double weapon with both reach and non reach you should have two different animation sets.
The flail moved like a sword, which totally ruined it for me. With alternate choices like the morningstar or mace to appease the bludgeoning crowd, I hope the Devs do not include flails without actually making them move like flails first.

Weapons with chains are listed as flails, but this knowlages is based on east european culture and may vary from other like others names for weapons vary too.
As for long chained flail - it was realy good weapon from horse back and the reson that they not hitting they horses was easy - most of them was almost born on horses and they know how to use their weapons propertly.
As for flails they true lower the oponents ability to defend (not at great level but still it may hurts) but they are difficult to defend with them too (shield/additional weapon in second hand or experiance in wielding them may cancel that difficulty).

Fighter and Barbarian can use different moves with their weapons, and they can have different degrees of skill with those moves.

The German infantry weapons were superior to ours until the end of the war and we would use them if we could (not always since the German weapons had their own noise characteristics and every GI knew the sound of German weapons-you could have your own firing at you)!
The weapon was for trench warfare and not for mobile warfare.
