BBC - h2g2 - Flashback: The Quest For Identity - the Computer Game
Flashback was developed by Delphine Software International, creators of such classic games as Cruise for a Corpse and Future Wars, as well as Flashback's predecessor, Another World (known as Out of This World on other platforms).
The animation of the humanoid characters in the game is all taken from a process known as 'rotoscoping', where real-life actors would perform the moves required of them, and have their movements plotted on computer and converted into sprites.
Flashback was originally released for the Commodore Amiga at the end of 1992 by distributors US Gold (now a part of Eidos Interactive) under the simple title of Flashback.

Unfortunately, once the game starts, there is no music, except at certain points in the game when you are treated to a short tune.
One of my big gripes with the game is the fact that the passwords take you to the start of a level and not the save point that you last saved the game at within the level.
Although the entire game suffers at various points from slowdown when too much is going on, one time the entire game kicked into slow-motion.

Finally, with the game hanging in the balance in overtime, Hearst burst through a hole opened by 49ers tackle Scott Gragg and rookie tight Eric Johnson, and cut upfield for an 11-yard gain, his longest of the day.
