  Character Flaws :: d20srd.org
After 1st level, a character cannot take on additional flaws unless the game master specifically allows it (for examples of times when doing this might be appropriate, see Character Traits).
Unlike traits, flaws are entirely negative in their impact on a character's capabilities.
Similarly, a flaw that penalizes a character's Charisma based skill checks only has a significant impact on the party spokesperson-the quiet fighter or barbarian likely won't feel any impact from the penalties.

 Security flaws on the rise, questions remain
The most important, and perhaps obvious, lesson is that the software flaws are here to stay, said Peter Mell, a senior computer scientist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the creator of the National Vulnerability Database (NVD), one of the four databases surveyed.
The National Vulnerability Database completed scoring flaws in its database using the CVSS in late November.
The OSVDB--which counted the highest number of flaws in 2005 at 7,187--breaks down vulnerabilities into their component parts, so what another database might classify as one flaw might be assigned multiple entries.

 Microsoft Product Flaws Make Net Dangerous, Experts Say - Technology News by TechWeb
The flaws are so serious that one expert advises users not to surf the Web until a fix is found.
The problem, according to Gutmann, is that the file formats used to protect users' private encryption keys are flawed, and a flaw in the cryptography programming interfaces used by Microsoft means that many keys can be taken from a user's hard disk just by asking for them.
The security holes can easily be exploited thanks to flaws in Internet Explorer, which allow malicious software code hidden on Websites to read the content of users' hard drives when they visit the sites, Gutmann said.

 Critical flaws in IE and Outlook discovered | CNET News.com
The vulnerabilities allow for remote code execution with no actions from the computer user, eEye said.
Although the flaws would not allow self-propagating worms to infiltrate a system, there is the potential of attackers installing backdoor Trojans without a person's knowledge, Ben Nagy, an eEye senior security engineer, said Friday.
eEye notified Microsoft several days ago of the flaws in the default installation of Outlook and IE and is giving the software giant time to develop a patch before releasing details on which versions of the software are affected, Nagy said.
