FPO, which stands for "fleet post office," is the U.S. Navy equivalent of an APO.
FPO can also be used to mean "field post office," a term used to describe foreign equivalents of the American APO.
The Mowry post office, in operation from 1866 to 1880 and again from 1905 to July 31, 1913, was in Santa Cruz County.

The Post Office opened up the bids for the 400 AA bodies on June 11, 1929 and soon thereafter inspected the plant of the low bidder, the August Schubert Wagon Works.
The Post Office gave Schubert 124 days to deliver the 400 bodies; i.e., the last bodies were to be completed by early November 1929.
However, there is one record indicating that on July 11, 1929 two post office mechanics drove two bare chassis from the Ford plant in Buffalo to the Schubert plant in Syracuse, a distance of 150 miles.

On September 8th Group ONE of Fleet Air Wing TWO with the squadron Commanding Officer as Commanding Officer of the group was established to replace Fleet Air Wing ONE.

British Telecom has offered to run the Post Office's fleet of 40,000 vans in a move harking back to the pre-privatisation era.
The telecoms operator - which in a previous guise was called Post Office Telephones - would combine the Post Office vans with its own 58,000 vehicles and probably spin them off into a separate company.
The heavily indebted BT said earlier this month it was looking at creating an "autonomous business unit" for its fleet which could be funded by an outside investor.
