Though the Fleetwood Mac story was now beginning to read like the script for a rock and roll disaster movie, what the headline coverage of their problems invariably neglected to mention was that the group always pulled together and came up with quality music through all of it.
It was the album that crystallized Fleetwood Mac as a song band; Christine came up with her best assortment of songs ever, and the writer/singer contributions of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a wider range of material and more harmonic interaction than it had ever enjoyed before.
Fleetwood Mac was accorded the initial FM radio buzz that all Mac albums received but, unlike the others, simply never stopped building.

Fleetwood Mac released "English Rose" and "Then Play On" during 1969, which both indicated that the band members were expanding their music, moving away from their blues-purists roots.
The new line-up of Fleetwood Mac released their eponymous debut in 1975 and it slowly became a huge hit, reaching number one in 1976 on the strength of the singles "Over My Head," "Rhiannon," and "Say You Love Me." The album would eventually sell over five million copies in the US alone.

Ok, Fleetwood Mac is my all time favorite group in the world.

A year after that they came out with their most memorable album called 'Rumors' which is still considered one of the greatest albums of all time.
