		Flesh For Lulu burst into the UK '80s pop music scene in 1983 with their widely popular "Roman Candle" EP.
		The band was built on the songwriting partnership of Nick Marsh and Rocco Barker.The band broke up in the early 1990's, but reformed in 2001 and frequently tour the U.S. and Europe.
		"Roman Candle - Flesh For Lulu Live" captures the band at the height of their mid-1980's success with a full show from their 1985 UK tour.

		Fusing the strut and swagger of the Rolling Stones and New York Dolls with the dank coldness of goth-rock, Flesh for Lulu arose from Brixton to build their initial reputation in London's so-called "Batcave" scene.
		It proved quite unsuccessful, and Flesh for Lulu found themselves back in the world of indie labels for the 1985 EP Blue Sisters Swing, which attracted attention for its possibly blasphemous cover art (two nuns kissing) more than the band's greatly improved music.
		With a new rhythm section of Mike Steed (bass) and Hans Perrson (drums), 1987's Long Live the Flesh was a stab at success on mainstream and/or college radio, and "I Go Crazy" proved a minor hit on the latter.

		I did some research the other week on "Flesh for Lulu", one of my favorite bands of the late 80's.
		I urge Flesh fans to avoid it, and instead pick up the remastered "Long Live the New Flesh" or their earlier CD "Big Fun City" (or something like that).
		There was some talk of a FFL reunion but it never seemed to happen.
