		Flick glanced at his companion and saw that he was not looking through the brush at the country around them, but instead was peering upward where the night sky was visible in small, irregular patches through the foliage.

		The wilfull son, who I did not care for at first, is Jair Ohmsford, possessor of a strange offspring of the magic his father wielded in the previous novel - the Elfstones have worked their way into the DNA (I suppose) of the family.
