		Flicky is a female bluebird, who debuted in the arcade game 'Flicky' as the main character, she has since become a part of the Sonic the Hedgehog games as a species commonly used for Eggman's robots, or badniks.

		Flicky's appearances in Sonic 2, 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were more low-key, her design was simply used as one of the freed animals, though she is one of the animals seen frolicking the Mushroom Hill Zone during the beginning of Knuckles the Echidna's story in Sonic and Knuckles.

		In the game, the player controls Flicky, a bird who has to save her children, the Chirps (the Piopio in the original Japanese), from housecats.
		In the Sonic Adventure Chao Gardens, the Flicky species became part of a different variety of animals that are small even in comparison to the playable "animals." This species is known as small animals, but some fans still refer to them as Flickies.
