Flinch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Flinch is a card game, played with a custom deck, invented in 1901 by A.J. Patterson.
Say s/he put it face up infront of him where it could be placed in the middle or on somebody else's pile and if the other players notice it they yell "Flinch".
So you always work from your face up pile first then see if it can be placed in the middle and if not on other people's cards and if not leave it on your pile.

FLINCH includes the introduction of quirky characters, which are the hallmark of every Ferrigno novel, as well as the herky-jerky plot sequences that ultimately and unfortunately make his books all-too-often strain at the boundaries of suspension of disbelief.

Flinch and Friends first began life as a comic dedicated to a few friends that Dave Price, the creator (in other words, me), knew.
It had a somewhat dubious humourous edge to it but I soon tired of the same formula of two-dimensional characters which were constantly copied and pasted in to crap gags.
So Flinch and his friends are my outlet, sometimes the strips can be funny, sometimes dark as fuck and sometimes just blurbs to what is about to happen in the future.

Flinch (1994)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-16)
The main problem with `Flinch' is something which could, with just a little more intelligence and consistency, have been its main asset: it combines the two genres you thought could never get together.
The premise is at once tense and oddly amusing: Harry and Daphne, co-workers who seem to have nothing in common, fall for each other while getting fired, sharing a crummy apartment, and being stalked by a madman who wants them both dead.
No, the tiredness runs deeper than that: `Flinch' does the same things as a host of other (not necessarily better) films, in the same order, with less conviction.
