Pelican Technical Article: 914 Floorpan Replacement
Usually, floorpans are bad in the extreme corners, most notably in the front where the wheelwell and forward firewall attach.
As an addition to my 'floorpan swap' tech article, I neglected to mention you should treat the finished structure with a primer of choice, but since this is just a floorpan, you dont necessarily need to paint it with factory colors.
The 914 floorpan has a lot of contours to follow, and that means pushing it in with your fingers or thumbs, or using a selection of brayers to roll it down.

Use the old pan as a template to mark the new pan and weld the bracket into place before welding the pan into the car.
Lots of Rustoleum should help keep the new floorpans in good shape.
A couple of notes: If you have trouble getting the pans to lie flat for welding, screw them into place with sheet metal screws, then remove the screws one by one, welding up the holes as you go.

When the firewall was relocated 6 inches rearward to accommodate the engine setback, the original floorpan and transmission tunnel had to be redone.
Rick "Speed" Lefever crafted a new aluminum transmission tunnel that attaches to a lip on the firewall and floorpan with fasteners.
Since there are racing bucket seats in the car, it is unlikely the tunnel will ever have to support any weight or be subject foot abuse, so lightweight aluminum was a suitable material.

Story So Far - Page 1
There were a couple of places on the left floorpan half which had rusted through (They weren't apparent when we bought the car) and there was a large repair done to the battery tray as the original section had almost completely rusted away (a common problem I hear).
We decided that restoring the floorpan halves to what I considered an acceptable standard (as in A1 condition) maybe more effort than just replacing the floorpan halves with new ones (the old ones were in quite a state).
Replacement floorpan halves were going to come with seat mounts, jacking points and battery clamping parts, all of which would have to be removed.

 Floorpan
Note:- Before you fully rivet the floorpan in place it may be a good idea to fit the Handbrake/Seat 1" x 1" cross angle and the 40mm x 40mm Rear Cable angle.
If fitted now they will not conflict with the floorpan rivets and a much better job can be done with the chassis upside down, they will also ensure the floor stays flat when the Tunnel and Rear panel go in.

Hillman Series Minx - Audax Unibody Rust
Frame rails were used for the front section extending from the front jacking points to the floorpan transition point separating the front and rear seat areas.
These sills were comprised of three parts: a outer sill panel making the "skin" wraping up into the door openings, a center sill panel section embossed to make it stiffer, and the innermost sill which was integral with the floorpan.
Unlike present day cars, the first Unibody designs were not made to "crush" on impact in the case of an accident, and the sheet metal used in Audax bodies was thick gauge.

 Rust Repair Made Easy
Rusty floorpans are common in the East and Midwest, where the harsh winter conditions and road salt eat away at a car’s undercarriage virtually from the first day it hits the road.
In California, extensive floorpan rust isn’t as common, but dry-rotted weatherstripping and leaky heater cores often lead to isolated trouble spots like trunk floors and areas that lie under water-soaked carpet in the passenger compartment.
A leaky heater core had rotted the carpet underlay and part of the floorpan into a nasty mess.

I think Innovations floorpans will work OK for an application as I described above assuming that the seat rails are intact and sound and that the seat is not mounted to the composite.
