 | | The Florida Southern outfielder was an All-Star for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs in 2004, and he had signed a contract to play for the Shockers in 2005, but, instead, he got married and had to miss the entire summer season. |
 | | It was originally built in 1926 to serve as the minor league home of the Florida State League’s Sanford team, but it also served as the Spring Training home for the Boston Braves and, later, the New York Giants. |
 | | Unfortunately, minor league baseball left Sanford Memorial Stadium for good in the early 1960’s, and since then it has been used by Seminole High School, the Sanford American Legion team, and, of course, the FCSL’s Sanford River Rats. |
