Flourine is so dangerous that it must be stored in steel containers, and even then it reacts with the steel.
Flourine is the most reactive element in the world.
Without flourine, you'd have no recyclable cans, no cars chassis', your clothes would be filthy, and water wouldn't be safe to drink.

 Diamond Queen Mine
They mined it for the flourine and flourite that was the richest part of the ores there.
For a distance of 900 feet along the length of this dyke the porphyry is stained with flourine and flourspar and flourine stained water quartz appears throughout the mass.
It would be unsafe to estimate at the present time as to the average value of the ore. Assays range from $5.00 to $30.00 across the entire distance and a small chute of talc found on the hanging wall was considerably richer.

It is also known that flourine can not be replace any element in the perodic table.
Flourine is pale yellow, chlorine is yellow-green, bromine is dark orange, iodine is violet, and astatine is an unstable compound.

Terraforming Mars - Application of Principles   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Based on our knowledge of the periodic table, we decided that flourine would be the most likely gas to do this, since it the top and leftmost element in the periodic table, and thus is highly reactive.
It was also important that the reaction that we planned on using would occur spontaneously in the atmosphere, since forcing the reaction to take place on Mars would not be feasable due to the high energy requirements.
Through this application we determined that the reaction of flourine and carbon dioxide would be spontaneous.

 Dating
Flourine dating is often used in conjunction with two other dating methods that measure levels of uranium and nitrogen.
Flourine dating relies on the incorporation into ancient bone mineral of flourine ions dissolved in groundwater, which is an irreversible process.
Changes in flourine concentrations occur so slowly that they are only useful for material that is older than 10,000 years.

Regular check-ups at the dentist’s or dental hygienist with counseling regarding eating habits and mouth hygiene, as well as professional cleaning and flourine treatment, are perceived as very valuable by many patients.
Proper mouth hygiene and adequate parodontal status considerably lessens the risk of osteoradionecrosis, which invariably can be found in irradiated patients [13].

The set of high-resolution infrared solar observations made with the Atmospheric Trace Molecule Spectroscopy (ATMOS) - Fourier transform spectrometer from onboard Spacelab 3 (30 April-1 May 1985) has been used to evaluate the total budgets of teh odd chlorine and fluorine chemical families in the stratosphere.
The results are discussed with emphasis on conservation of fluorine and chlorine and the partitioning among source, sink, and reservoir gases throughout the stratosphere.

Now don't get me wrong; these two minerals are essential in daily function, but are so present in food that we needn't consume extra, because then that would be toxic.
Besides chlorine and flourine, other toxic substances such as lead, arsenic, and mercury are present, and if you do some research you'll discover that they are just as bad for you.
Ofcourse they are also present in minute amounts in food and in the body, but drinking municipal water which is filled with this stuff is very bad for you.

There is a huge jump at the total eclipse compared to the other eclipses due to the torsional strain and steric interference of the flourine atoms.
If you compare this graph to the one for butane in Wade you will notice that the eclipse formations (excluding total) do not spike as high in comparison.
This is probably due to the fact that in butane you are dealing with larger methyl goups where here we only have one flourine eclipsing with a hydrogen.

Distilled white vinegar and cider vinegar sold in supermarkets are considered “dead” vinegars with none of the enzymes and other live factors that make raw, unpasteurized vinegars so valuable.
Distilling removes the beneficial “mother” from the vinegar, thereby, destroying the powerful enzymes and life giving minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, natural organic sodium, magnesium, sulphur, iron copper, natural organic flourine, silicon, trace minerals, pectin and other powerful nutrients.
Also destroyed are natural malic and tartaric acids, which are important in fighting body toxins and inhibiting unfriendly bacteria growth (Bragg 1- 4).

Fluorine is the most electronegative atom, thus a highly polar bond results between flourine and carbon.
The flourine atoms are held very close to the carbon atoms and the electrons around the flourine atoms are held very tightly.
In effect, the flourine atoms act as a shield that prohibits other chemicals from reacting with the chain of carbon atoms.

Taking away electrons makes Flourine positively charged, but it is still Flourine because it has 9 protons.
So starting with a neutral atom it is possible that a Flourine atom could lose 9 electrons.
