Floyd County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana.
Floyd was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1819.
In the county the population was spread out with 25.80% under the age of 18, 8.40% from 18 to 24, 29.90% from 25 to 44, 23.60% from 45 to 64, and 12.30% who were 65 years of age or older.

The county was established on December 3, 1832 by an act of the Georgia General Assembly and was created from land that was part of Cherokee County at the time.
In the county the population was spread out with 24.60% under the age of 18, 10.80% from 18 to 24, 28.50% from 25 to 44, 22.20% from 45 to 64, and 13.90% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county was $35,615, and the median income for a family was $42,302.

In 1950 Floyd County farmers grew 2,758,000 bushels of wheat, and 47,332 bales of cotton.
In 1982, 98 percent of the land in the county was in farms and ranches, with 70 percent of the land under cultivation and 59 percent irrigated.
