The main star of the film is clearly Flubber however, the computer generated goo that slips, slides, dances, giggles, bounces, and flies.
Flubber is the result of the tireless work of the computer graphic wizards from Industrial Light and Magic.

Of course the real star of the show is the Flubber itself, and as Robin Williams normal persona is to Fred MacMurray's, this film's gooey substance is light years ahead of its predecessor.
There are enough images of golf balls and bowling balls smacking the thugs in the heads that you might mistake this for the next film in that series, but alas, they've already made that third installment (coming soon to a theater near you, minus Culkin).
There are several scenes where the flubber, or flubber-covered items (golf balls, bowling balls, etc...) ricochet through Phillip's lab, house, or other locales and break stuff (vials, windows, etc...) they hit.

I also feel that with the Character of "Flubber" it was a waste of time considering I don't remember any merchandising from the character.

I finally did see FLUBBER and was impressed by the way Elfman's music works within the film, the special effects and Dean Cundey's expert cinematography (really the only reason to see JURASSIC PARK).
Personally I think FLUBBER is a throwback reminiscent of BACK TO SCHOOL (the main theme also uses the same saxophone) mixed with the new bag of sample tricks Danny Elfman now employs.
Not a controversey, but FLUBBER would seem to be Danny Elfman's first film score involved with his three-picture pact with Walt Disney Pictures.
