Focke-Wulf - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first fully controllable helicopter (as opposed to autogyro) was the Focke-Wulf Fw 61, demonstrated by test pilot Hanna Reitsch in 1936 in Berlin.
In 1937 shareholders ousted Henrich Focke, and he founded, with Gerd Achgelis, Focke Achgelis to specialise in helicopters.

 Model_review_Huma_Ta-283...(aircraft-WWII-luft'46)
For the model's size it comes in a seemingly oversized box, due to the fact that most of the parts come on one enclosed sprue.
The Ta 283 has about as many parts as you might find in an airfix series one kit.
There are fine parts for the undercarriage foot pedals and joystick, on a second very small enclosed sprue.

He then hops into his desert camouflaged 283, Black 18, and plugs himself into the aircraft as the auxiliary power cart, which has been keeping the batteries charged, is pulled away.
One of the real benefits of the 283 was that it had a very high ceiling, much higher than that of most intruders.
The high speed of the 283 also means that it can be out-maneuvered by nearly everything else in the skies, especially the American recce planes as they tend to be prop driven.

All speeds of the charts I've shown have about the same speed as the one in AH, all the charts I've shown show the H-0, some the H-1 aswell.
Nope, images refuse to be posted here for me. Will have to watch them normal, paste the URL in the browser.
Naudet, the speed of the Ta152 in that test report or book report is suported by actual test reports, the reason I chose that one is that it's far easier to read and understand.

Originally powered by two ram-jets it achieved takeoff through a rocket motor housed in the rear of the fuselage, once airborne the ram-jets would take over.

The Fw 190D was a very good interceptor, equal to the P-51D or Spitfire XIV and without the altitude limitations of the Fw 190A.
The Fw 283 carried two ramjet engines on the tips of its swept-back tailplane; a liquid fuel rocket in the tail would have accelerated the Fw 283 to the operating speed of the ramjets.

Huma 1/72 Focke Wulf Ta-283 Preview
This one got farther along than most as it was actually given an RLM type number rather than keeping a project number as did most designs.
This little beauty from Focke Wulf's premier designer, Kurt Tank was to be powered by a rocket and two ram jets.
The rocket wasn't the problem as there was a reliable one as used in the Me-163, however, the ramjets were another story.

For the later 8-183, Focke-Wulf initially assigned the number Fw 232, but this was changed by the RLM to Ta 183, because it conflicted with the Ar 232.
When it achieved the absolute world air-speed record in 1939, the Me 209V1 was designated as Me 109R for propaganda purposes (to make it appear as if the record had been flown by a derivative of the the German standard fighter Bf 109).
The Ta 211 designation was used by Focke-Wulf, because the planned engine was the Jumo 211.

 AVSIM Commercial Simulator Review: Part2
The Focke Wulf Fw190 is a tough bird to fly because it's extremely sensitive on the controls.
Then there are aircraft like the Focke Wulf Fw190A that make you wonder "what happened." In this case, the aircraft is so soft on the controls that even a slight movement of the joystick sent it into a frenzy.
It is curious that the Messerschmitt Bf109, a much older and less attractive design with many shortcomings, should have been made in greater quantities and also been the aircraft of choice of nearly all the Luftwaffe's aces.
