PCTM Position Paper: Geometry for All
The focus of these strands throughout the grade-levels is to develop the learners thinking abilities, use the structure and nature of the geometric concepts, to analyze and solve problems that arise in their everyday activities.
Geometry is the branch of mathematics that studies visual patterns.
In most school geometry programs, the van Hiele model is contradicted by the traditional reality in that geometry is viewed as a high school course where most students are exposed to a formal, abstract level with little to no regard for their appropriate conceptual readiness.

 About Sacred Geometry
Geometry is the very basis of our reality, and hence we live in a coherent world governed by unseen laws.
The understanding of geometry as an underlying part of our existence is nothing new and in fact, the Golden Mean and other forms of geometry can be seen imbedded in many of the ancient monuments that still exist today.
Geometry of seven interconnected circles, the Seed of Life is considered to be the basic unit of information necessary for the formation of all material substance.

An active focus model means that $toplevel will claim the input focus for itself or its descendants, even at times when the focus is currently in some other application.
Otherwise the current geometry for $toplevel is returned (this is the most recent geometry specified either by manual resizing or in a geometry method).
When gridded geometry management is enabled then all the dimensions specified in minsize, maxsize, and geometry methods are treated as grid units rather than pixel units.

 Conic section Summary
Likewise, radiation or sound emitted from a source at the focus of a reflector with a parabolic section is reflected in a parallel beam.
In projective geometry, each of the conics can be defined as the locus of all points equidistant from a fixed point (the focus) and a fixed curve (the directrix); see this detailed description.

Focus (geometry) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In geometry, the foci (singular focus) are a pair of special points used in describing conic sections.
A parabola also only has one focus (although it is sometimes useful to speak of a focus at infinity); but there is a line called the directrix such that the distance from any point of the parabola to the focus is equal to the (perpendicular) distance from the point to the directrix.
For the ellipse, both the focus and the center of the directrix circle have finite coordinates and the radius of the directrix circle is greater than the distance between the center of this circle and the focus; thus, the focus is inside the directrix circle.

 The Geometry Forum Guided Tour
In my talk tomorrow morning "Geometry and Curricular change" I mostly focus on transformations as the dynamic software does them so nicely and the notion that geometry is dynamic leads to a necessity for transformations.
Students should know that geometry is important in the world in which we live-- from the basics, they can branch out to other topics of interest.
Some possible directions include: 3-D geometry--build and study polyhedra, make them different ways, unit origami is a nice approach, branch out and look at the history of the shapes, the etymology of their names, occurrances in nature, applications, not to mention their properties an related theorems.

The Golden Mean was used in the design of sacred buildings in ancient architecture to produce spiritual energy that facilitated connectivity with spiritual realms through prayer.
Particular shapes are energy emitters; they are shapes that produce a type of penetrating carrier wave which Chaumery and De Belizal named 'negative green', which acts as carrier-like radio waves that carry sound information.

 Feature - Process Versus Geometry
Process-oriented CAM systems are extremely well suited for production machining work where the geometry may not be the most demanding aspect of the job compared to the overall process complexity and the requirement to optimize the process as much as possible to reduce overall machining time.
A good example would be the geometry for a complex mold cavity for an injection molded part or the stamping die for a sheet metal automotive panel.
Associating workpiece geometry, processes and the corresponding tool path (fully regenerating this tool path when either the geometry or the process are changed) is another capability that one would expect with a process-oriented CAM system.
