In February, the City Council authorized a lease to developer Foothill Partners to remodel the existing building, home to a Safeway store for many years, and bring in a Trader Joe’s grocery store and adjoining retail space.
In a focused effort, the City is working with community members in Oak Grove, Villa Del Monte, Casanova-Oak Knoll and Del Monte Grove-Laguna Grande neighborhoods to identify issues and concerns and problem solve collaboratively with the property owners.
This year, the City is holding a series of community meetings, in partnership with neighborhood associations, to identify opportunities and strategies for improvements and upgrades.

In the airline industry, a focus city is a location that is not a hub, but from which the airline has flights to at least several destinations other than its hubs.
For example, Northwest Airlines had focus city operations at both Milwaukee and Indianapolis, where Northwest served 22 non-hub destinations from Indianapolis (which made 25 total destinations, however, some of these are only served seasonally), while Northwest served 11 non-hub destinations from Milwaukee (which made 14 total destinations, and again some are only seasonal).
The term focus "city" is somewhat of a misnomer, since it generally refers to an airport rather than a city.

 City of Wichita - The Search for a New City Manager Focus Group Results
At the request of the Wichita City Council, professional staff of the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs convened and conducted focus groups of Wichita citizens and Wichita city employees, during the week of December 15, to assist the Council in the recruitment and selection of a city manager for Wichita.
Nine separate focus groups were conducted and ranged in size from 11-15 individuals in each group: one focus group was conducted in each council district and was comprised of active Wichita citizens in those respective districts; and three focus groups comprised of Wichita city employees below the level of department heads were conducted.
City employees participating in these focus groups were assured anonymity, and no city officials other than invited employees participated in these groups.

Later in the 1800s, the Kansas City area anchored the eastern end of the Santa Fe Trail, which prior to the Mexican-American War served as a commercial highway for Mexican and American traders, and after the war connected the U.S. to its Southwest territories.

 Pasco: Dade City puts focus on new City Hall
DADE CITY - Deciding when and where to build a new City Hall and updating the city charter topped the list of goals presented by city commissioners on Tuesday.
Dade City's proposed transportation impact fee on a single-family home would leap from about $1,500 to more than $5,200.
Combined with fees the city collects for libraries, schools, fire and police protection, parks and water and sewer service, every new house will have more than $13,000 in fees attached, which are passed on to the home buyer.
