  fokker dvii
Fokker's ego and dominating personality frequently led him to understate Platz's role as the genuine innovator of the designs that bore the Fokker name, and he took undue credit for himself.
Moreover, Fokker understood better than any of his competitors that overall performance was more important in a fighter aircraft than exceptional performance in one or two areas, such as speed or climb rate.
The Fokker D.VII was brought to the United States after the war and given to the Smithsonian Institution by the War Department in 1920.

The Fokker factories in the Netherlands were completely destroyed during World War II, and a new factory was built next to Schiphol Airport near Amsterdam, in 1951.

It turns out that the interval separating the notes in each triplet of same-letter-name notes (or their enharmonic equivalents) in Groven's scale, which is the Pythagorean comma narrowed by 1
But since the basis for this tuning is the tempering of a Pythagorean chain, it makes more sense to find a good EDO approximation by examining the size of the "5th" and comparing to EDO equivalents.
Below is an enlarged reproduction of Code's lattice, showing the 3 commatic unison-vectors which are not tempered out in Groven's tuning: the syntonic comma (red), diaschisma (blue), and diesis (green).

Last time we saw how choosing a single "unison vector", or interval too small to warrant a distinction in pitch, reduces the infinite resources of 3-limit just intonation (or Pythagorean tuning) to a finite scale.
Fokker's solution was to draw a parallelogram having the two unison vectors as sides.
In this case, two opposite sides of the parallelogram would slope one step to the left and two steps up, while the other two sides would slope four steps to the right and one step down.

The Fokker name was not openly used until about 1926 because of concern about the public's possible association with the notorious German fighters of WW1.

Let M be the square matrix obtained by adding a top row [1,0,0,…,0], corresponding to 2, to N, whose determinant n is therefore not zero, so that M^(-1) is defined.
For meantone pair, the transformation would have to be (tone) = (2 -1)(fifth) (oct) (0 1)(oct) which has a determinant of 2, because you can't get a fifth by adding and subtracting tones and octaves.
The generator is [1 -2],corresponding to a semitone of 15/14, 16/15 or 21/20, and we start the first group at [7 6], corresponding to 5/3, and the second at [2 6], corresponding to 7/6.
