	Football League Third Division North - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Third Division North of The Football League was a level in English association football, which ran parallel to Third Division South from 1921 to 1958.
		The Third Division South had been formed the previous season (as simply the Third Division) with 22 teams mostly from the Southern League.
		In 1958 the two regional Third Divisions were merged together, to create the new Third Division and Fourth Division.

		The club was founded in 1977, although a separate club of the same name was a member of the Football League from 1930 to 1960.

	Darlington History
		Darlington Football Club was formed in July 1883 after a meeting was held in the local Grammar School.
		In 1958 Darlington became members of the newly formed Fourth Division, which meant they'd be competing against teams from the South of the country for the first time.
		However, these glory days were to be a thing of the past as Darlo went back down in 1987 and crashed out of the Football League altogether in 1989 as they were relegated to the Conference.

	George Moorhouse - Class of 1986
		He served in the British Merchant Navy in World War I and before moving to Canada in 1923, to play for Montreal CPR, had played two games for Tranmere Rovers in the old Third Division North of the Football League.
		Later Moorhouse went onto play for the New York Americans in the second version of the American Soccer League (ASL) and was a member of the team that was defeated in the 1933 U.S. Open Cup final by St. Louis Stix, Baer and Fuller.
