The ADC Theatre is the home of the Footlights.
Cambridge University Footlights Dramatic Club, commonly referred to simply as the Footlights, is an amateur theatrical club in Cambridge, England, run by the students of Cambridge University and now also the Anglia Ruskin University (formerly Anglia Polytechnic University).
It grew in prominence in the 1960s, as a hotbed of comedy and satire, and continues to produce the regular, and very popular Smokers at the ADC Theatre; informal mixtures of sketches and stand-up.

For some months before the name 'Footlights' was chosen, the group had performed to local audiences in the Cambridge area (once, with a cricket match included, at the 'pauper lunatic asylum').
The Footlights were invited to present their May Week revue there in 1936 - the first of 53 revues to be presented at the Arts.
The Footlights was a 'theatrical' club - in 1919 it was suggested that membership be limited to those who 'benefit the club from a theatrical standpoint'.

BBC NEWS | UK | Cambridge Footlights: Living with a legacy
The Footlights has come a long way since it was founded in 1883, a tiny gathering of extrovert students which offered popular vaudeville to the people of Cambridgeshire.
But Cook, Cleese and Co. were to bequeath a legacy to future Footlighters that became something of a millstone around their necks.
During the 1980s, the Footlights suffered in the face of competition from touring "alternative" comedians, with higher media profiles and trendier images.

Fear of growing old, end of seducing, lack of love are multiplying in footlights. - WordReference Forums
Here's some context: the thing is that the actors are afraid of ageing, lack of love and end of seducing/alluring; these fears are multiplying (there are more of them and they are in various forms) when they (actors) are on stage in a theater before audience.
Although footlights are known, "in the spotlight" is more commonly used to signify something done on stage.
I suggest: "In the footlights we are seeing more fear of growing old, losing love and no longer seducing".
