Ford Sigma engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Intended for Ford's smaller models, it was intended to replace the older HCS and smaller capacity CVH units.
This engine included many firsts, such as a plastic inlet manifold, a "ladder" style main bearing and crankcase assembly, and big-end bearing caps which are forged in one piece and subsequently split.
It's also a much smaller engine than the SE version, which allowed it to be installed on the Ford Ka, replacing the Endura-E engine which by that time was considered underpowered and outdated.

Ford Zetec engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This engine (a 3.5 litre V8) was used by the Benetton team in 1994, and powered Michael Schumacher to his first World Championship title.
The first Zetec-branded engine was the Zeta family, introduced for the 1992 model year powering the fourth generation of the European Ford Escort and Orion.
It is also a much smaller engine than the SE version, which allowed it to be installed in the Ford Ka, replacing the Endura-E which was considered underpowered and outdated.

About Instruments - Booklet for Light Aircraft
Engines overheat because they are not getting enough cooling air over their fins, because the fuel mixture they are being fed is too lean (too little fuel to air) or there is too little oil in the fuel.
Two-stroke engines have a tendency to seize when the power is being reduced after a full power situation when an EGT would be showing a safe engine temperature.
Because the engine, at full power, may be able to overcome increasing friction of the expanding piston in the cylinder, but when the power is reduced, and the engine can no longer overcome the increasing friction, the engine seizes.

 Installation Manual EM
Air temperature, CHT temperature, manifold pressure, throttle position and rpm are all measured and taken into account by the ECU which determines how often and how long the injectors remain open.
Air and CHT temperature sensors may be fitted to your engine using either adapter bushings into the original sensor bosses or by drilling a hole into a suitably thick area in the intake manifold for the air temp or in the cylinder head.
Once the engine is started, the value number corresponding to the closed throttle position should be increased if the mixture knob is to the left of 12 o'clock or decreased if the knob is to the right of 12 o'clock.

 Ford Zetec engine
The biggest problem was that a special Ford formulation of oil was required otherwise the valves tended to stick.
Later versions of the engine are known as the Zetec-E. The main difference is a two piece crankcase which helps damp out noise and vibration.
It's also a much smaller engine than the SE version, which allowed it to be then installed on the Ford Ka, replacing the weak Endura-E engine by the time.

The Ford Orion was a four-door saloon automobile model introduced by Ford's European division on July 22, 1983.
In September 1993, Ford dropped the Orion trademark (although it continued in use in Argentina) and simply used the "Escort" trademark for all body styles, to keep the Escort high in chart sales.
The Ford Verona was similar to the Orion, (the 1993 model was identical, except for the bootlid badge), but it used the Ford CHT engine power unit in place of the CVH and Zetec installed into the Orion.

Insufficient fueling: In this type of condition, the engine may actually run lean of stoichiometry (14.7:1 air/fuel ratio) if the PCM is not able to compensate enough to correct for the condition.
