The Granada seems to almost have followed in his footsteps, the chubby kid which became the slim and stylish youth, before growing increasingly large, bloated and ugly.
For this test, we were loaned a G registered Granada (the best part of ten years old), well past its first bloom of youth, and now depreciated almost to the bargains section of Auto Trader.
At least with the Granada, the ones that were produced, including the so-called Scorpio, seem to be lasting quite well, so we could be seeing them for a long time yet.

So when my father decided it was time to buy himself a new car, and found his old Granada to be worth approximately the square root of naff all on a trade-in the problem was solved for me, and I’m rather pleased with the result.
It’s benefited from having some good owners – Ford themselves ran it for a while, before it’s next owner, who kept the service history stamped for the next 8 years until it came into my father’s ownership.

 Ford Scorpio 1995+
Throughout mainland Europe Ford referred to the vehicle that we in the UK know as the Ford Granada as the Scorpio just to confuse everyone - if you require information about that particular car then we recommend the Granada and Scorpio Online site.
Ford Introduced the Scorpio on 1st October 1994 and it's perhaps an understatement that it didn't go down too well.
However Ford had always been leading the way in styling back to the launch of the Ford Sierra that came in for similar criticism, but went on to become a classic design and accepted by almost everyone.
