The Model T had a unique magneto system which produced only a low voltage which had to be stepped up by a coil; in order to assure easier starting, however, a self-contained dry cell powered system could be manually switched in, then back to magneto for high speed operation.
Model T suspension employed a transversely mounted semi-elliptical spring for each of the front and rear axles, which were "live," i.e., not an independent suspension.
Many steel Model T parts are still manufactured today, and even fiberglass replicas of their distinctive bodies, which are popular for T-bucket style hot rods (as immortalized in the Jan and Dean surf music song "Bucket T," which was later recorded by The Who).

The Ford Model C Ten was a car from Ford built in the United Kingdom between 1934 and 1937.
The car used an enlarged version of the side valve engine fitted to the Ford Model Y that was increased to a capacity of 1172 cc by increasing the bore from 56.6 mm to 63.5 mm but keeping the stroke at 92.5 mm.
Suspension was by the Ford system of transverse leaf springs with rigid axles front and rear, a system little changed since the Model T.

The production of the Ford model Y with 933cc sidevalve engine was incredibly successful in manufacturing 157668 saloons (2 door and 4 door), 30795 commercials and 111 tugs.
The Ford model C and CX with 1172cc engine was referred to as the De Luxe or the 10hp model against the Popular for the 8hp model Y. Production was of 2 door or 4 door models and chassis for specialist coach builders.

Model B chassis assembly and body trim took place on the second floor, while similar operations were completed on the third floor for Models C and F. By 1906, Models B, C and F had been discontinued.
Then in July, Ford launched the significant Model N. The third floor was used for Model N chassis assembly and body trim, and subsequently for the derivative Model R, S and S Roadster as well.
Model T production continued at Piquette through the end of 1909 and was transferred to the new Highland Park plant in January 1910.
