Henry Ford considers the Model N to be his crowning acheivement.
The model K was not Henry Fords Favorite car with excessive weight it led to a number of mechanical problems encluding transmission failures.

For some reason, the follow-up was the Ford Model A and not the Model U. In the international poll for the award of the world's most influential car of the twentieth century the Ford Model T came first.
The Model T had a unique magneto system which produced only a low voltage which had to be stepped up by a coil; in order to assure easier starting, however, a self-contained dry cell powered system could be manually switched in, then back to magneto for high speed operation.
Model T suspension employed a transversely mounted semi-elliptical spring for each of the front and rear axles, which were "live," i.e., not an independent suspension.

Ford was born on a prosperous farm in Springwells Township (now in the city of Dearborn, Michigan) owned by his parents, William Ford (1826-1905) and Mary Litogot (c1839-1876), immigrants from County Cork, Ireland.
Henry Ford was a pioneer of "welfare capitalism" designed to improve the lot of his workers and especially to reduce the heavy turnover that had many departments hiring 300 men a year to fill 100 slots.
In 1913, Ford attempted to enter a reworked Model T in the Indianapolis 500, but was told rules required the addition of another 1,000 pounds (450 kg) to the car before it could qualify.

The Model "K" was gradually dismantled during the teens and twenties, and it's parts utilised in the repair of machinery on the various Longworth properties.
Of those 350 1906 Model "K" Fords built, just six survive, and Bob's car is the oldest of those, whilst of the 650 1907/1908 Model "K" Fords to have been built, seventeen survive.
Ford also introduced the four-cylinder Model "N" early in 1906, and the first of these to be sold was car number 4, on 16th July, 1906.

Also the fact that Ford had mainly concentrated on affordable cars since the start in 1903 and therefore had neglected to create a appealing image for its cars, wouldn't have helped matters (something that remained a problem until the Lincoln marque was acquired in 1922).
Still the Model K holds an important place in Ford history: it is believed to be the reason that Ford didn't produce 6-cylinder engined cars again until 1941 and it formed the catalyst in the process of Ford becoming a mass producer of cheap cars.

The dealer came up with a TSB from ford stating that this motor was prone to excessive carbon buildup and instructed them to check the MAF sensor and if everything was O.K. they were to decarbon the motor and leave it at that.
After they do this decarboning the motor is quiet for a short while (a couple months).
