The rule of the Republic of China in Mainland China was scarred by warlordism, Japanese invasion, and civil war.
The Republic of China was a founding member of the United Nations and held China's seat on the Security Council until 1971, when it was expelled by General Assembly Resolution 2758 and replaced in all UN organs with the government of the People's Republic of China.
China at the time was largely agrarian with most of the land, and thus the wealth, concentrated in a wide pyramid structure – much of the land was owned by a few very wealthy landowners with the general population tenant farmers who did not own land.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji said that China and Bhutan are good-neighbourly countries, and the two countries had close contacts in the past, adding that Sino-Bhutanese relations have developed steadily since the two countries signed an agreement on the maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the border area in 1998.
The former vice foreign minister of the People’s Republic of China, Liu Shuqing, led a seven-member delegation to Bhutan, from September 14 to 18, 2003.

Chiang was defeated, and Mao established the People's Republic of China (PRC) in Beijing on 1 October 1949.
It declared "that the representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China are the only lawful representatives of China to the United Nations" and thus do not regard the Republic of China as legitimately representing the whole of China.
Like Mainland China, the claim of Mongolia is not officially dropped, but the new de facto relations with Mongolia is handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, instead of the Mainland Affairs Council, effectively acknowledging Mongolia as a foreign country.

In fact, foreign relations of Taiwan is a POV title, because it implies that Taiwan is a sort of state entity (and thus sanctioning the proposed Republic of Taiwan), which neither the PRC nor the ROC (at least officially) claim.
Reading this article, the article is not about the foreign relations of a "Republic of Taiwan", but rather the foreign relations of a "Republic of China" (indeed, "ROC" is the preferred term to "Taiwan" throughout the article).
Although some may not agree that foreign relations of the ROC on mainland to be included in this article, I believe the foreign relations of the ROC in the 1950s to the 1970s should be included.
