Forest Hill is an affluent neighbourhood in central Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
It was originally incorporated as a village in 1923, and later annexed by the City of Toronto in 1967, along with the Village of Swansea.
The Village extends roughly from Briar Hill Avenue in the north (the Upper Village, officially part of Forest Hill North) to Heath Street in the south (the Lower Village, officially the major part of Forest Hill South along Spadina Road between Bathurst Street/Cedarvale Ravine (whichever is further east) and Avenue Road.

 Forest Hill Village
The Village of Forest Hill was incorporated on Nov. 23, 1923, effective January l, 1924.
The result was that The Village of Forest Hill became one of those few Canadian municipalities, that having an unusually high per capita wealth, consist mostly of very high class residences.
By mid twentieth century the winds of change were blowing and, in 1953, Forest Hill found itself in the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto along with 11 other suburban municipalities and the city.

"Upper Forest Hill" was slower to develop due to the fact it had previously been occupied by the old Belt Line railway, and then by industry.
In 1967, Forest Hill Village joined Swansea Village as one of the last two independent villages to be annexed by the City of Toronto.
