		Having a "forked tongue" used to imply that one was a liar comparable to Lucifer or the tempting snake in the Garden of Eden but that isn't the case anymore.
		Tongue Splitting is a body modification procedure in which the patient has his or her tongue cut by a scalpel, a laser, or cauterized (burning or searing with a cautery) to leave two distinct and independent halves.
		Although it could be argued that tongue splitting is an ancient procedure, originated as a yoga practice, modern tongue splitting has less to do with yoga than it has to do with personal satisfaction for some.
