There are now only 11 teams in Formula 1 so the 107% rule has been removed since the FIA's rules indicate that 24 cars can take the start of an F1 race, and a minimum of 20 cars must enter a race.

 Formula One - Playstation Review
The game has an official FIA Formula One licence, and so all the teams, drivers and curcuits are in here...together with non another then Mr.F1 himself, Murry Walker.
This Formula One is a sim, meaning the cars handle as close to their real life conterparts as is possible with a computer game, meaning too much on the old accelerator and your gonna lose it, too fast into a corner and you won't be coming out the other side.
Formula One is certainly the best F1 racer on Playstation, it's actually better then it's sequels and all the other F1 games which have tried to take this games crown.

Extra spice is assured in the 2004 Foster's Australian Grand Prix by two significant changes at Albert Park – the straightening of the pit entry road and an increase in the pit lane speed limit.
The changes will virtually ensure three-pitstop strategies, rather than the traditional two stops, for the 20 Formula One cars and drivers in the race, adding to the excitement and strategies involved in what is already a split-second sport.
It is expected that the changes will cut three to five seconds off the overall length of pitstops as timed from the start of the pit entry road to the end of the pit exit.

Montoya was never challenged for the race lead, and was not required to assist his teammate as Alonso's third place ensured that a win for Raikonnen would have made no difference regarding the outcome of the world championship.
