Fort Buchanan supports an estimated 104,081 individuals, including 90 military personnel, 699 civilians, 1,754 tenants, and 137 civilian contractors, as well as federal employees who work for 23 agencies on the island, and family members who live on post or have base privileges.
Fort Buchanan would then become a base for unit activations, enhance recruiting and retention opportunities for military occupational specialties from the pool of more than 95,000 college students in the area, and expand leadership and professional development opportunities among commissioned and noncommissioned officers as assignments increase.
Fort Buchanan’s footprint was reduced to 746 acres at the end of World War II and remains this size today.

Fort Buchanan was a United States army base in Arizona, to control land purchased in the Gadsden Purchase.
It was established in 1923, and in 1999 became the headquarters for USARSO.

I was a high school golfer who would have loved to get out of school and walk to go play golf rather than riding 30 minutes on a bus to and from practice everyday.
The course is on the grounds of Troup ISD.And after I got finished playing golf I walked to the 19th and had a cold budlight.The bar has what ever you want,and the ladies were so nice.
Golf is a sport for white men dressed like fl pimps.

Mayor Rivera met with Pont last week to discuss the issue and indicated he would support any efforts to keep the military base open as well as her confirmation as secretary of state.
On Saturday, April 16 at 9 a.m., veterans organizations will hold a rally in front of Fort Buchanan to express their support for the military base.

Golf Co. has about 263 members and it appears that more and more of them are Marines of the 80’s, 90’s and the current day.
Buchanan describes how a well-equipped and fortified VC battalion sprung a well-planned ambush at Thon Bon (1) that could have decimated Golf Co. if the ambush had been sprung as planned.
Buchanan details a couple of brazen VC ambushes on Liberty Road (between An Hoa and Phu Loc 6) where in one of these incidents, an entire squad of Marines was killed.
