  Foster's Lager
Foster's Lager is Australia's original, full strength lager.
Launched by the Foster Brothers in 1887, this lighter European style lager became the beer of choice for Australian beer drinkers creating a milestone in brewing history - largely thanks to the brothers' innovative refrigeration process.
Today, Foster's Lager is one of the fastest growing, truly global beer brands, available in more than 150 countries.

Foster's is the largest selling beer in London and the biggest beer import in United Kingdom's history - although it can hardly qualify as an import as it's brewed in the UK by Scottish Courage.
The unique flavour of flavour of Foster's Lager, is the result of the brewing skills of CUB, the choicest of malt, sugar and hops and the unique strain of brewing yeast.

Lion Nathan is Australia’s second largest brewer, behind only Foster's Group who amongst others owns Carlton and United Breweries which produces popular beers such as Carlton Draught, Victoria Bitter and Fosters Lager.
Over the last 20 years Fosters have managed to push CUB beers to becoming popular and even the leading brand in other areas of the country.
Initially they caught Fosters with their guard down and managed to persuade 32 of the 52 country racing tracks to convert.

 Or is it
The Foster’s yeast in use today was brought to Carlton in 1923 from Professor Jorgensen in Denmark.
Foster’s phenomenal growth had been aided by the fair dinkum Paul Hogan (who later went on to make it big as Crocodile Dundee).
In 1986 CUB began brewing Foster’s in Canada in partnership with Carling O’Keefe Ltd.   Paul Hogan was flown in to promote it and again was hugely successful.

The Subliminal Wizards of Oz, more or less. Subliminal elements in ads for pseudo Aussie and genuine Aussie drinks.
The fact that too much cheap lager leads to brewer's droop is hardly likely to be taken into account if one has been 'brainwashed' into thinking of Fosters as the sexy lager.
Keeping in mind the social status of many of those who produce this type of artwork and their view of those who drink Fosters, it could also simply mean that whoever produced the art work for this coaster simply think that Fosters drinkers are simply pricks.

 Realbeer.com Beer Community - Fosters...
I'd dearly love to have one of the idiots responsible for that advert to explain exactly what is so special about the brewing process which makes the beer taste better cold.
I'd love to hear an advertiser saying that (it'd be against their religion, or something; although I can't imagine paradise with Fosters advertisers in it, maybe atheism is a job requirement).

Fosters Lager from Fosters Brewing (CUB), a Pale Lager style beer: An unofficial page for Fosters Lager from Fosters ...
Fosters should be Australian for "Bud Light." It tasted nearly identical, save a bit more body.
Made a decent appearance, poured a clear lager golden with a foamy, bubbly topped white head that quickly settled into a sticky, foamy thin lacing.
Your general bland tasting macro lager, not awful, passable, a day old biscuity maltiness, a sweet husky graininess, a mellow bitterness towards the end and a semi-dry grainy finish.

Foster's Lager is probably the most commercially successful brew of Carlton United Breweries (CUB).
From Mikko Helle, s341410@student.uq.edu.au in bowerbird.cc.uq.oz.au Foster's Lager is indeed a fine beer, although in Australia it's popularity has dropped dramatically and is now predominantly taken over by Victoria Bitter, also from the Carlton United Brewers.
From ian, I think Fosters is probably one of the worst beers in the world, mainly because the aftertaste is of rancid butter.

 Beer Review: Kirin Ichiban (Kirin)
This beer, however, is not the renowned Kirin Lager, which holds a thicker, yet dryer taste.
I was quite familiar with Kirin’s Lager, which complements sushi; however, this colorful specimen of aluminum captivated me while strolling through the frosty fluorescence of the beer aisle—I couldn’t help but capture this ornate 24-ounce monster.
Like the lager, I found the Ichiban to possess both a light body and a light taste.

Foster's uncomplicated and minimal character, however, may fail to satisfy some beer aficionados.
