		As with those producers, his approach is 'source agnostic' culling sounds wherever they may come from, recording new material as needed to fit the ambience of the project.
		Four Stones' previous album on Magnatune was the Magnatune Remixed project.
		The original version is on Lisa DeBenedictis' Magnatune album "Fruitless." The vocal tracks used here were re-recorded for "Chronic" in March 2004 using the mobile fourstones studio.

		The album begins gently, takes your mind on a dark frenzy of conceptual bliss, leaves you lingering in manic emptiness for a while, and finally drops you off where you had begun, only with a slightly more pleasant mindset.
		Four calendar Cafe is one of the more upbeat Cocteau CDs, but don't let that stop you from enjoying a great experience that departs from the 80s Cocteau style.

	New Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock DI-DZ
		But the album is very varied with tracks not similar one to another, some included more rock, some more fusionist (jazzy and psychedelic touches), but all with the power of (kraut)rock and the melody that take them to a very efficient lot of songs.
		As the album moves along, there are moments of Jethro Tull at their most martial with flutes, Steve Hackett-school languid sustained electric leads, spacey atmospheric meanderings, and even some vocal barking that reminds me of After the Fire's "Der Kommisar".
		For the second album, guest musicians were brought in on tablas and clay drums, acoustic bass and persian santoor, resulting in a more full sound which began to point in some progressive directions.

		This album is a religious experience to be enjoyed on a Sunday morning as the sun filters in through eastern windows....but without the windows, and regardless of the day, it is still grand.
		Four Songs is a great cd, good for the local coffee house where you just want to submerge yourslef with friends and spirits, or decide to drive for an extra 20 minutes or so just so you can have a more sublime experience listening to it.
		Four Songs is a CD I put on every night to remind myself that everything is okay, is going to be okay and to heal my soul.

		To be a truly effective concept album, a theme should be carried all the way through, but also provide some sort of character or situational development such that the album tells a story as a whole that expands beyond the situations detailed in the individual songs.
		As a result, the album is conspicuously lacking in the synergy one expects from either of such endeavors.

		For those who don't know, Guthrie's album was sort of a humorous take on the Bob Dylan tradition, which was itself somewhat of a political take on the Woodie (Arlo's father) Guthrie tradition.
		The album is not a suite per se, but generally most of the album is subtitled under the album title Le Jour ou les Vaches.
		In fact the only albums even close to this amazing work of art only hint at the edges, such as the eponymous album by Arachnoid or the weird vocal experiments of Philippe Doray.
